T’ai Chi Chih (TCC) was originated by Justin Stone in 1974 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and is a made up of 19 easy-to-learn movements and one pose. It is not a martial art or exercise.
TCC’s focus is on the development and balancing of energy, called Chi. TCC is easy to learn in about 8 classes and doesn’t require physical fitness or coordination. The very old and very young alike can learn and benefit from it.
The T’ai Chi Chih Association was formed in 1995 to provide a space for all T’ai Chi Chih students and accredited teachers to practice and teach this moving meditation of 19 movements and one pose, as originated by Justin Stone. The TCC Association is a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) non-profit. The volunteer-based Association is headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Now in its 26th year, the Association continues its mission of providing teaching space, seminars, and fundraisers specific to the practice and cultivation of learning T’ai Chi Chih movements and the financial support of the T’ai Chi Chih Center.
We publish a monthly newsletter and make available teachings, books and other material related to T’ai Chi Chih practice. To join our newsletter and receive updates from the Association on events and practice Materials, click here.
